The IIT-B 1974 alumni launched HEARTS’74 to build 1 lakh climate-resilient, affordable homes for underserved communities across India by 2034.
A total of Rs 14 crore was pledged, with Rs 10 crore already raised—Rs 8 crore of which is dedicated to the housing project, supporting research in sustainable construction and resilience.
The project will utilize locally sourced eco-friendly materials, renewable energy solutions, and participatory design involving beneficiaries and stakeholders to tailor housing models.
