Kanishak Kataria after excelling at IIT Bombay with an AIR 44 in JEE Advanced 2010, he worked as a data scientist at Samsung in South Korea and later at a startup in Bengaluru.
However, driven by a desire to contribute to society, he took the unconventional path of quitting his lucrative job to prepare for UPSC Civil Services.
His strategy and dedication paid off when he topped the UPSC exam in 2019 (AIR 1).
